A BIS SAFE was exposed to over a 1000 C (1830 F) in an air-tight gas furnace for nearly 2 hours

STAGE2 DROPPING TEST

Immediately after the heating test, the red hot safe was lifted up and dropped from a height of 9.1 meters (29.9feet)

STAGE3 RE-HEATING TEST

After the dropping test the safe was reheated in the furnance at the mean temperature 1090 C (2010 F) for anther 45 minutes

TEST OBJECTIVE

hese tests simulated the most severe case of a house on fire wich the situation of a safe falling though the floor and be subjected to another round of heat after impact of the fall
